Wow. We’re trying to find out if the President Of The United States committed a serious crime, Donald Trump seriously thinks this is just sour grapes?
During a press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, the POTUS faced the press for the first time since the testimony of James Comey.
It was his first response to the damaging claims outside of his favorite medium of Twitter.
So what did he have to say about the entire process of finding out whether he is guilty of obstruction of justice? Oh, it was just Democrats whining. He said:
"That was an excuse by the Democrats who lost an election some people think they shouldn’t have lost. It’s almost impossible for the Democrats to lose the Electoral College, which you know. You have to run up the whole East Coast and win everything as a Republican, and that’s just what we did. So it was just an excuse."
OMG! Let the election go! No one cheated you! Jared Kushner played moneyball with the counties and won it for you! No one is talking about it but you!
More to the actual point he said:
"But we were very, very happy, and frankly James Comey confirmed a lot of what I said, and some of the things he said just weren’t true."
So everything he said that made you look good was great, everything that made you look criminal was a lie. Got it.

Then, when it was time for followup questions, Trump reminded everyone who the real enemy is. A free press. He joked with the Romanian President about having the power to choose which question he answered, saying:
"Should I take one of the killer networks who treat me so badly as fake news?"
Finally he did allow a reporter to ask him a question about the Comey testimony, specifically about telling Comey he "hoped" he would let the Russia investigation go. The President swiftly replied:
"I didn’t say that."
When pressed to say whether Comey was simply lying, Trump :
"Well, I didn’t say that. I mean, I will tell you I didn’t say that. And there’d be nothing wrong if I did say it according to everybody that I’ve read today. But I did not say that."
Once again, the "I didn’t do it but even if I did NBD" double defense of the guilty.
Trump did say he’d be willing to "100%" give his version of event under oath.
After Comey’s testimony, would you be willing to speak under oath to give your version of events?
Finally, when asked about the hints that there were recordings of the conversations, Trump said:
"I’m not hinting anything. I’ll tell you about it over a very short period of time."
And then, when reporters understandably went apeshit, Trump threw out:
"Oh, you’re going to be very disappointed when you hear the answer, don’t worry."

We probably will be disappointed. Because no matter how much evidence that our President is a crook, it never seems to matter.
